In our recap of the CMA’s there were many things that ended up good and a few things that just didn’t vibe so well but overall it was a pretty forgettable and dull night of awards. This move reunites Reba McEntire with industry veteran Scott Borchetta who is president and CEO of both Valory and Big Machine Records. Borchetta who has had great success with Taylor Swift as well as Garth Brooks latest release looks to be a perfect fit for a new resurgent Reba McEntire.

The 43rd annual Academy of Country Music awards followed a predictable award show program with cleaned up and cut up performances as well as awards that go to artists that make you say “Why did they get that”.
