Single Review: Jason Aldean - She’s Country
Posted on December 3, 2008 with

Jason Aldean brings us the first single from his new album and it doesn’t disappoint. It is what you would expect from Jason Aldean with a mix of country and rock. The single “She’s Country” is a country rock anthem about a girl who is country and proud of it.
“She’s Country” starts with a slow guitar with Aldean talking but then quickly switches to a faster rock vibe with lyrics such as “She’s a party-all-nighter from South Carolina, a bad mamajama from down in Alabama.” The song continues on in the lyric shouting out just about every major area in the United States putting them all into rhyming lyrics about a girl being country. The single is the first from his third studio album which is expected to be released sometime early in 2009. Aldean’s last two albums reach platinum and gold which is almost unheard of for an independent record label like his. This single may not be a hit like his past such as “Why” and “Amarillo Sky” but it should be a very popular and appealing song across a certain country fanbase.
Overall Jason Aldean brings a quality song to the mix that might not get a lot of play on radio but will stand out and please his fans. The song not being as radio friendly because of its strong rock vibe and lyrics will not hurt Aldean what so ever as his songs have never been ones to jump to number one when released but when it comes to sales he will always be towards the top, another proof that radio trend watching is a thing of the past. “She’s Country” even though not a major hit seems like a good first step on getting another gold certification for his third album.
