The first runner-up of “Nashville Star” season 3 has seen more success then the winner Erika Jo who was dropped from her label after meager sales. But the Oklahoma native Jason Meadows has much to prove as well after also less than stellar sales. Meadows new single entitled “Where Did My Dirt Road Go” is what you would expect from the traditional country singer. The song has a very soothing vibe to it that I think will help it on the radio, but will not help Jason Meadows stand out from the crowd. The song reminds me somewhat of a second rate George Strait song that focuses on a popular theme as of late and historically in country music. “Where Did My Dirt Road Go” is about how his city has grown up and there is no longer dirt roads and open land like he remembered, but had been replaced by parking lots and major stores.

“Where Did My Dirt Road Goes” is a typical release from Jason Meadows that does sound like many of his other songs. Meadows new single will get him some radio play and will be popular in the mid-south but I am not sure if this is going to help get Jason Meadows above where he has been in the past and into the mainstream of country.
