Faith Hill Joy To The World

It seems like this year almost every artist or group of artists has a holiday album. Even though everyone does have a holiday album no one else does it as well as Faith Hill with her album entitled Joy To The World. The album has all of the traditional holiday songs sung by Faith Hill as well as the new “A Baby Changes Everything” which was written by Craig Wiseman who is responsible for other hits such as “The Good Stuff” by Kenny Chesney and “Live Like You Were Dying” by Faith’s husband Tim McGraw.

The album Joy To The World is a breath of fresh air to the holiday album genre as most popular artists just cannot seem to sing the songs as they are. Numerous times when you hear a holiday album it is so redone and remixed that at times you cannot tell what the actual song is. There are not many songs on the album that you will skip through other than a few of the faster songs do sound slightly corny but that is expected and hard not to do with the lyrics you are given. Overall this is the must have holiday album of the year and probably for years to come. It is not often when you can give such a high rating to a specialty album but this is one that is deserving of the rating.

Must Listens:

  • A Baby Changes Everything
  • Joy To The World
  • Silent Night

Rating: ★★★★☆
